A look back at the Geneva Motor Show 2013
This year’s Geneva Motor Show has been one of the most exciting motor shows in recent times with a whole host of exclusives including the brand new Ferrari ‘LaFerrari’ the new replacement for the Enzo stealing the show.
We take a brief look back and give you a round-up of the latest cars to showcase at Geneva 2013. The blockbuster match-up was between the Mclaren P1 and the interestingly named ‘LaFerrari’ which are set to go head to head when released later this year. With just 375 P1’s to be produced it has the edge in rarity over the ‘LaFerrari’ of which there will be 499 and with a price-tag of £866,000 compared with the Ferrari €1.2m the P1 looks better value but we believe the Ferrari might just be the better car to own but it’s a very close race.
Also debuting was the Rolls Royce Wraith which is attempting build on the success of the ‘Ghost’ as a coupe version and is the most powerful Rolls Royce ever made and revives a name that was used back in 1936.
Another car to cause a storm was the Lamborghini Reveno, a limited edition model based on the Aventador which there will just be 3 built and each believed to cost around $4 million. The new 991 GT3 was the latest offering from Porsche which got it’s debut as Porsche continue to expand the 991 series.
The Alfa Romeo 4C got it’s official debut with a ‘Launch Edition’ while Bentley showcased it’s new Flying Spur variant of it’s Continental range. Other cars to star at the show included the highly praised Pagani Huayra and a carbon-fibre bodied Noble M600.
An amazing show that Romans were privileged enough to be there and see these wonderful cars which we no doubt expect the majority of them to hit the Romans showroom floor this year!
