Aston Martin Rapide wins coveted award in Germany

The luxury sports car firm Aston Martin saw the company’s elite 5-door “Rapide” win the coveted Auto-Trophy Award from the German car magazine Auto Zeitung a few weeks ago.

The readers of Auto Zeitung voted Aston Martin “the most popular foreign sports car brand” and the Aston Martin Rapide came out top in its category and took the Auto Trophy 2011 home to Newport Pagnell in the UK.

A staggering 98,000 readers participated in the poll, and were asked to choose from almost 400 models across 29 vehicle categories. Aston Martin also made it to second places with the Aston Martin DBS and the Virage, as well as claiming third places for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and the DB9 Volante convertible.
