Bentley to offer a diesel engine option

The Bentley Motor Company has automotive heritage that spans nearly a 100 years. In that time the company has gone through many changes both with it cars and its owners, although one thing has remained the same, the pursuit of excellence and quality.

As a company that moves with the times, Bentley has announced plans to offer a diesel engine option in some of its models for the first time in its history. The company has already recently announced that they intend to produce a Bentley SUV which will be added to its range in 2014.

Bentley is expected to use the V8 TDi and V12 TDi diesel engines from their parent company, VAG (or Volkswagen Group). Modern diesel engines are both quieter and more powerful that there previous counterparts and will offer added economy advantages over petrol engines currently available from the company.
