Conquering the Americas with Ferrari
Two Ferrari 599 luxury sports cars have just completed a rather unique and gruelling 20,000 mile route, which stretched from Brazil to New York.
The Panamerican 20,000 was used as the most persuasive & latest test of Ferrari’s latest model, the 599 GTB Fiorano. This epic journey was seen as a way to prove the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano’s durability and reliability on such a voyage.
As in the last ten years Ferrari has seen Ferrari owners doubling their annual mileage, so what better way to show that a Ferrari is a reliable, technically advanced, durable luxury sports car. The 599 GTB Fiorano is a 2-seater Berlinetta fitted with a V-12 engine, which has been developed in the Ferrari factory home of Maranello.
These two 599 GTB Fioranos were effectively standard cars with the exception of minor modifications, which allowed them to travel the toughest roads from South America. The modifications include under-body protection in the form of a special aluminium plate and fitment of special shock absorbers, giving the cars a slightly higher ride height to handle the roughest roads and the conditions.
