Ferrari launches 599 GTB - 60F1 edition
Ferrari the luxury Italian sports car manufacturer is launching the Ferrari 599 GTB with special trim and spec options; it’s called the 599 GTB – 60F1.
The 599 GTB – 60F1 has been developed to celebrate 60 years of race wins in Formula 1 for Ferrari, with the Scuderia Ferrari F1 team winning their first ever race way back in 1951. The first Formula One race wine was won by Froilan Gonzalez, driving a Ferrari 375 F1 race car at the Silverstone race circuit in the British Grand Prix. Then 60 years later a current Formula one driver Fernando Alonso’s won Ferrari’s first win of the season in 2011.
It is based around the Ferrari 599 GTB with the HGTE package (the up-rated Handling GTE option), giving this 599GTB a stiffer, more focused and more responsive feel. The 599 GTB – 60F1 is powered by Ferrari’s 6-litre V12 with 611bhp.
There are three livery options available and host of cosmetic tweaks with this model, plus all the cars get the Scuderia Ferrari shield painted on the front wheel arches and 20in diamond-finish forged alloy wheels.
