Mercedes-Benz shows off new SL-Class model

The German Car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has just premiered an all new SL-class Roadster model at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show, along with a couple of new luxury Hybrid car’s into the 2012 range.

The new SL Roadster is an all-new design and features a body made which is almost entirely made from aluminium, meaning that this new SL is up to 140kg less than its predecessor and has a reputed 20% increase in torsional strength. It means the new SL is more agile, quicker off the line and faster to its limited top speed of 155mph.

Another two cars in the Mercedes-Benz spotlight are two luxury E-Class hybrid models, the E300 BlueTEC and the E400 Hybrid. This shows that Mercedes are now making inroads to address their previous lack of hybrid models within their range at this level. These two new models go along way to address the growing demand for Hybrid technology in luxury cars.
