New Site & Showroom Expansion

We are delighted to announce that Romans International is expanding it’s business having recently acquired the Ford site, which as many of you will know is based next door to us and just a stones throw away from the existing showroom.

This is a real coup for Romans as we have had our sights set on this for a long time now, yet it has always been unavailable for purchase until very recently. For the last 3-4 years we have contemplated numerous extension plans for the showroom and even considered moving our business to a brand new site but our dream has always been to remain where we are and expand our existing site. Therefore the opportunity to buy the Ford site next door and expand from there really is our perfect scenario. 

It is now 10 years since we bought and knocked down the Olive Tree pub, which was originally next door to our showroom to create our current forecourt and workshop areas. Romans has flourished and grown strongly off the back of this decision, hence the reason we are so keen to get this latest expansion underway.

Although we are keeping the structure of the existing Ford buildings that will be all that is staying, with an extensive renovation taking place inside and out. We have begun by knocking through from the showroom into what was the Ford MOT station to create a larger open-plan area, providing space for another 20-25 cars to be housed indoors. In addition to this we will of course utilise the outdoors space as an expansion of our original forecourt. Although the new showroom will not be physically connected to our existing showroom, it will all be linked together by the wrap-around forecourt and feel like one site, nearly doubling our footprint.

For us, it’s all about delivering a first class customer experience and creating an environment which presents these special cars in the best way possible. We pride ourselves on being a business with a family friendly feel with dedicated long-serving familiar team members. We want to retain all that personal charm and intimate atmosphere that our clients have become accustomed to but take it to the next level in terms of space and the range of cars we are able to offer from one site.

Behind the new showroom there will be a brand new customer parking area fitted with fast electric charging points so that customers can charge their electric vehicles whilst visiting. The entrance to the car park will be on Garratts Lane which is accessible from both sides of the A217, as well as from Banstead Village making arrival at the showroom a seamless experience.

We are also building a brand new photo studio which will be used for website photos and YouTube videos allowing us to get cars photographed and advertised more quickly, without having to battle the ever changing British weather.

We are renowned for having the highest spec cars in the business presented in the best possible condition, and despite the fact our stock levels are going to increase we aim to retain the extremely high standards that we have built our reputation on.
