Team Lotus F1 Celebrates a Fantastic Podium Finish

Although the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix has been a controversial race this year, when it came down to the action on the track, F1 fans were given an exciting and eventful race all the way to the finish line.

The Grand Prix at Bahrain over the weekend saw the current F1 World Champion, Sebastian Vettel, bounce back with his first victory of the 2012 season and move to the top of the season’s leader board, but this was only achieved after fighting off a constant threat from former World Champion Kimi Räikkönen.

Räikkönen, driving for the Lotus F1 Team, put up a fantastic fight throughout the race and delivered a close second place to Vettel, but Räikkönen’s rookie team-mate, Romain Grosjean of France, also drove a great race, which saw him end up third on the podium with Räikkönen & Vettel.

This has to be an almost dream result for the Lotus F1 Team, especially as it is so early in the season. They have shown they have the performance, speed and the reliability required to make it onto the podium. Is this the shape of things to come? We will have to wait and see what happens in Barcelona at the Spanish Grand Prix on May 13.
