The Aston Martin Cygnet; small car, long pedigree
Aston Martin the über cool luxury sports car marque has recently launched its new “Supermini” to its elite desirable range. The new car called the “Cygnet” is a small 3-door hatchback aimed at people who want a small city car which has been designed and finished to a standard and specification to that of other small eco-city cars.
The Cygnet was first seen as a concept car back in 2009, but fast forward to 2011 and it is now a reality. The car has undergone the same hand finish as that of Aston Martin’s luxury sports cars, with plush leather interior. There are actually 22 different hides offered and 30 exterior colours to choose from.
Under the bonnet you won’t see the usual V8 or V12 engines which are used in other Aston Martin models, but you will find a nippy little 1.3 with 98bhp at your disposal, which might not have an earth shattering top speed, but it will return a respectable 56.6mpg.
The Aston Martin Cygnet might not be as sporty or a fast as its siblings, but it could be argued when driving in the city or trying to park, sometimes size does matter.
So if you are looking to buy a used Aston Martin or any of the latest or previous models, contact a luxury sports car specialist, with a reputation second to none.
