The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse

One of the most talked about luxury cars over the last 10 years is surely the Bugatti car marque’s powerful Veyron roadster. Not resting on their laurels or staying out of the limelight for too long, Bugatti have revealed that they will soon be producing the new Veyron16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, which will be featuring at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse is set to be the most powerful factory-built roadster in the world and the specification is very impressive, boasting some big numbers. The Veyron’s 16-cylinder engine has been boosted from 987bhp with 922lb ft torque, up to 1184bhp and 1105lb ft, whilst the W16 engine has had its four turbochargers and intercoolers upgraded to boost the extra power. The chassis has also been uprated to deal with the extra power being delivered to the Veyron’s four-wheel drive system.

There are currently no performance statistics which have been released from Bugatti, but if this new breed of Veyron is anything like the former Veyron Super Sport, then surely the 0-62 (0-100Kmh) time will be around 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of over 250mph. The price tag has also not yet been released, but it is expected to be in the region of £2m (or $3.14m).
