The new Porsche 911 Cabriolet is unveiled in Detroit
The luxury sports car manufacturer Porsche has finally shown off the hotly awaited new Porsche 911 Cabriolet, being unveiled at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show this week.
The Porsche 911 (or 991 as its also referred to) Cabriolet is a main-stay model of the Porsche line-up and offers supreme open top driving from the esteemed German manufacturer. The new 911 (991) Cabriolet, unlike many of its competitors, utilizes a fabric hood with a special which features a unique magnesium frame to save weight.
This new 911 Cabriolet features an all new designed body and offers a choice of engines, ranging from the 345bhp 3.4-litre engine to the ferocious 393bhp 3.8-litre ‘S’ version. Currently Porsche are only offering the new 911 Cabriolet in rear-wheel drive from the cars launch, although there will be a four-wheel driven version which will be available later in the year.
