Acting as the ‘Grand Tourer’ version of the revered Alpine A110, the A110 GT takes the best bits of the standard car and adds a plethora of comfort and usability elements, which some may feel were missing from the A110 previously. The most notable additions to the GT are the heated leather seats, Focal premium sound system and sports pedals, which add an element of quality and comfort to an overall fantastic B-road carver.

The focus of the GT is still to be as light, nimble, and fun as possible on the road (or track). Alpine have proven this with the GT, as performance figures are slightly improved over the A110. 4.2 seconds to 62mph is achieved thanks to an extra 48bhp from the 1.8L turbocharged engine.

The looks remain unchanged, with the GT still sporting that retro look which harks back to the original Renault-Alpine A110 Berlinette rally car but with a modern twist.

Overall, if you were a fan of the original A110, the GT is still the pure drivers’ car it always was, but with small improvements which help refine and perfect an already well-rounded sports car.
