The release of any new 'DB' model for Aston Martin is always a historic moment with some of their most celebrated models carrying this moniker such as the DB5 which is one of the most iconic and valuable Aston's of all time. The latest addition to this illustrious model line goes by the name of the DB12 and whilst unfortunately there is no V12 to go along with it, Aston have managed to create a spellbinding 671bhp V8 masterpiece which is far more powerful than any variant of it's predecessor, the DB11.
Being the first production model of Lawrence's Stroll's tenure as Aston Martin's boss, it's clear Aston are looking to make a real statement here and so far the signs are very encouraging with critics heaping praise on the car. Despite being wider than the DB11, it is both lighter and more purposeful with a much improved drivetrain and suspension whilst the sleek new styling has been very well received. Inside the cabin, opulent materials and meticulous craftsmanship create a sumptuous environment, blending comfort with cutting-edge technology which has come on leaps and bounds since the DB11.
Aston Martin have always produced excellent grand tourers but there is a sense that the new DB12 has really set itself apart seamlessly merging class leading performance with exceptional refinement and will no doubt become another icon in this marque's legacy, captivating enthusiasts and aficionados alike.
