Model Overview
2009 marked the introduction of the 5.9L V12 engine into the Vantage chassis that originally housed the V8. A louvred bonnet to help cooling and stiffer suspension to support the naturally aspirated V12 were added along with a few structural tweaks to accommodate for it. Due to the engine adding some extra weight, Aston decided to shed weight elsewhere. The use of carbon ceramic brakes and forged aluminium wheels help to compensate for the additional weight gain. The V12 Vantage S replaced the V12 Vantage in 2013. Alterations to the engine meant power was upped to 565bhp with power being delivered through a new 7-speed automated manual gearbox – the Sportshift III. Three years later Aston Martin appealed to the driver focused clients even more due to gifting the V12 Vantage a 7-speed manual gearbox. Other upgrades that V12 Vantage S received included adaptive damping, a track mode and carbon fibre front grilles and rear panel. A Roadster variant of the V12 Vantage was offered to the public which added an extra dimension to the driving experience, allowing the driver to indulge in the open-air thrills whilst hearing the naturally aspirated V12 stretch its legs.
The 2022 Aston Martin V12 Vantage was finally revealed in 2022 with a complete remodel away from the old design, following on from the newer V8 Vantage. This latest model is the final iteration of the V12 Vantage range and essentially piggy backs off of the V8 Vantage in design with the addition of more aggressive design language including the side fender element that is home to the beautifully sculpted side sill. Powered by a 5.2L twin-turbo V12, the 2022 V12 Vantage generates 690bhp which helps the car to climb to a top speed of 200mph. Since the V12 Vantage was released, it has been a staple of the Aston Martin brand name, a car that showcases the very best of what the British Brand represents.
