Model Overview

Built to celebrate Ford's 100th anniversary, this Ford GT was inspired by the original legendary GT40, the car which Ford built to beat Ferrari at Le Mans. Similar in outward appearance to the original GT40 racing cars yet larger in stature, the 2005 Ford GT comes in at 43 inches, 3 inches taller than the original and yet still manages to be one of the lowest cars we have ever sold. Although the cars are visually related, structurally there is no similarity between this and the 1960's GT40. The performance has been brought up to more modern standards with a 5.4 litre supercharged V8 offering incredible power and torque figures. The car also includes retro interior touches reminiscent of the original GT40, from the doors deep cut into the roof to aid entry and exit to the unique seats. Overall, the Ford GT is an incredible machine that will always go down in history as one of the all-time greats.
