The Land Rover Defender is a British icon, the original 4x4 with a lifespan that harks back to the original Series 1 Land Rover from 1947. The distinctive styling largely remained through many decades until Land Rover decided to end production on all Defenders in 2015. The all new Defender was released in 2020 and whilst the new Defender is the talk of the town, the legend of the previous Defender lives on with the best examples becoming increasingly collectible and sought after. The old phrase of "they don't make them like this anymore" aptly applies to this Defender, which whilst it's never going to win any awards for comfort and luxury, has a character and charm like no other.
The 110 Defender is the long wheelbase version, providing extra practicality with a 7 seat configuration. A true workhorse that will run forever and equipped to take on any terrain in the most extreme weather conditions. The "XS" variant was the highest trim level at the time before the last run out models were announced and despite the multitude of body styles and variants the Station Wagon format with rear windows like this car remains the most desirable amongst collectors and enthusiasts.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY

- "Because of its grass-roots, unpretentious character, the Defender feels best when driven with a light smear of mud."
- "Land Rover Defenders are seemingly increasing in desirability with every passing day."
