The 3rd generation of the Range Rover Sport arrived following quickly in the footsteps of the all new Range Rover which hit showrooms in early 2022. The new Sport is built on the same platform as it's more expensive sibling sharing the same wheelbase and much of the improvements over the previous generation. The advanced suspension and addition of 4-wheel steering bring extra luxury and drivability to the Sport with curvaceous new looks and a richer, more inviting interior.
With lots of new engine and trim choices available, the P400 mild-hybrid powertrain will be a very popular choice with its straight six layout providing great power delivery and smooth driving. The Autobiography trim level as before gives you a much higher level of equipment and features as standard including bigger alloys, semi-aniline leather seats with 22-way ventilated massage functionality, and an upgraded Meridian Sound system which has new noise canceling technology.
Whilst still the “Sport” by name, the luxury and refinement is very much the priority here over performance but it has been praised for it's broader range of on road dynamic ability over any other Land Rover product. The new Sport is a class-leading package combining quintessential British pedigree with amazing off road capability and a highly practical but premium offering which will undoubtedly be the go-to choice for many of the Range Rover clientele.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- If you’re after a large premium SUV that offers strong performance, superb comfort and an engaging drive, then the Range Rover Sport is hard to beat.
- The mild hybrid tech in the P400 makes it less snatchy at low revs than the P530, so if you’re stuck in traffic or pulling away from junctions, you’ll actually find the take-off tends to be smoother. And it sounds smooth, too. It’s undoubtedly quick and more wallet-friendly, too.
- Ride comfort, as mentioned above, is sublime for a car that handles this well, and the interior’s incredibly refined thanks to a combination of active noise cancelling and good old-fashioned insulation.
