The main talking point being the engine – a 5.0L Supercharged V8 producing 542 bhp. These give the Velar SVAutobiography a classy touch to the interior, reminding you that you are seated inside the most extroverted Velar model. Amongst being a very comfortable place to be, the Velar delivers a smooth ride, aided by the air suspension and four-wheel drive system. The Exterior receives larger, more aggressive front air vents, unique badging and four large exhaust tips. The latter alone allows the SVAutobiography to be instantly distinguished from the other trim levels. The main event with the Velar SVAutobiography however is JLR’s V8 engine. Sitting under the clamshell bonnet the supercharged 5.0L engine can launch the Velar SVAutobiography from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds, and carries on down the road to a top speed of 170 mph. Despite having so much power available, the Velar SVAutobiography can just as easily drive sensibly around town, achieving a combined 23mpg.
