McLaren says the 570 Sport Series is a game changer in it's segment, as it delivers McLaren DNA to a new customer base. Powered by the same 3.8 Litre Twin-Turbo V8 found in it's bigger brothers the 650S and the P1; the 570 Series produces 562 bhp (570PS hence the car's name) and 443 lb ft of torque fed through a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox. The 570 GT produces some sensational performance figures for one of the āentry levelā McLarens.
Unique features to the GT compared to the 570S include the recalibrated steering, suspension and chassis tweaks, aimed at refinement and modified styling that creates increased luggage space. Step inside and the cabin is tailored for luxury and unlike the performance fixated interior of the 570S, the GT has 220 litres of storage space. We believe these changes make this GT a better everyday car than the 570S. It offers the best of both worlds with incredible luxury, comfort and space as well as astounding performance on the road or the track.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- The steering is a little more languid but the car feels balanced and hugely confidence inspiring in fast corners. Thereās no trick four-wheel drive system, but the rear wheels effortlessly handle the power on tight exits.
- The car is absurdly quick and, unlike most turbocharged machines, builds its power as the revs build. Thereās plenty of mid-range torque, but if you want to access the really nutty stuff, youāll need to head north of 6000rpm, which is exactly as it should be.
- Like all McLarens, the driver is put at ease almost immediately thanks to the consistency of controls, an excellent driving position and the slack-free connection to the chassis.
