The 2019 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe mid-life facelift added the instantly recognisable ‘Panamericana Grille’ borrowed from the GT63. Up front you will find the well renowned 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 that is being replaced by a 2.0L 4-cylinder plug-in hybrid engine for the 2024 model year. This is the final form of the V8 C63, the end of a legacy of the 8-cylinder sports car. Although the last update was in 2019, the interior is still technologically on-point. The large digital instrument cluster and centre infotainment screen are sleek and user-friendly, whilst the steering wheel houses the drive mode switches in race-car style.
The V8 C63 is still the benchmark Coupe, delivering power like a sledgehammer on demand but doubling up as a comfortable 4-seater.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- The last V8-engined C63 coupe is as exuberant as you’d expect, but backs up the charm with steely control and fine balance.
- This twin-turbo two-door boasts a 503-hp V-8 powertrain and a chassis that delivers laser-focused handling, making it one of the most brutish models in Mercedes-AMG’s product portfolio.
- Wound up to its more aggressive drive modes (via a Porsche-style selector on the new, very pleasant wheel), the throttle response is beyond reproach for a twin-turbo and the noise sublime: deep, bass heavy and melodic.
