The Mercedes AMG C43 4MATIC represents one of the entry level AMG cars in the current Mercedes line-up. Employing a typically bulletproof drivetrain comprising of a torquey 3.0L twin-urbo V6 fed through the beautifully refined 9G TRONIC PLUS gearbox, the car feeds it’s ample power down on to the road through all four-wheels. The 4MATIC system gives the C43 a huge advantage over its bigger brother the C63 on wet British roads, allowing the driver to extract more of this cars performance more of the time.
AMG have engineered this car such that it now represents extremely good value with standard features such as AMG Ride Control Sports Suspension and Dynamic Select driving modes giving this car very different handling characteristics depending on the task in hand. The cabin is beautifully appointed and as highly specced as you might expect, whilst the AMG Performance exhaust system provides some very entertaining pops, bangs and crackles. Overall the C43 delivers an outstanding balance of style, usability and performance which come together to make this a true German Swiss-Army Knife of a vehicle.
