The timeless design of the 911 Targa has been incorporated into the 992 generation. Featuring the signature characteristic roll-over bar from the classic Targa and features the beautifully engineered roof mechanism. 380bhp is available in the 992 Targa 4, which here is delivered through an 8-Speed PDK gearbox and then distributed to all 4 wheels. The Targa 4 launches from 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds and continues on to a top speed of 179mph.
The interior receives a thorough remodelling with an analogue rev counter flanked by 7” TFT screens and a beautifully integrated centre console. The dainty gear lever, knurled switches and high-quality materials used throughout exude luxury and class, making the cabin a really special place to be. More features included as standard such as cruise control, ParkAssist and Keyless-Go bring the 992 up to speed with its competitors’ trim levels.
Tweaks and adjustments to just about every component for the 992 generation from the steering and suspension to the car calibration, have rendered a car which feels more planted, sure footed and capable than ever before. Everything from the brakes to the power delivery feels somehow more cohesive and together, in ways you didn’t realise were lacking. Overall the new 992 picks up exactly where it left off, evolving the 911 further again, including more features as standard and pushing the envelope for how much performance and sheer driving pleasure can be extracted from four wheels.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- A convertible that's searingly quick, sharp to drive, plush around town, surprisingly practical and genuinely usable 365 days of the year.
- It’s still a thrilling sports car through and through, with the added theatre of that gorgeous roof – we’d just say that this is much more the grand tourer of the 911 range, rather than a balls-to-the-wall sports car. That still makes it tremendously desirable.
