Romans are pleased to offer this very rare 2008/08 Porsche 911 (997) GT2 for sale presented in 'Basalt Black' Metallic with Black Leather Interior. This is a special example having had Eric Clapton as the first owner, and only 1 other owner since then. The car was specced as a comfort car with the adaptive sports seats and Mr Clapton certainly didn't hold back on the option list with over £6,000 worth of leather options alone in addition to all the other extras creating a sumptuous cabin. With full Porsche service history including a recent service this is a cherished example in truly immaculate condition and a car that must be considered collectable and a sound investment opportunity.
The GT2 has an astonishing blend of power, torque, performance and composure. The car is a combination of both the ordinary turbo in the engine department and GT3 in the chassis. The engine is essentially a mildly uprated, more powerful version of the 997 Turbo and now has 530bhp at 6,500rpm and a constant 502lb ft at 4,500rpm. The chassis is a development of the GT3's with a bespoke aluminium rear subframe, standard-fit carbon ceramic brakes and being a GT2, no front drive shafts.
