Driver involvement is the key to what makes the 997 GT3 so special. The harmonious driver/car relationship has been created by the naturally aspirated flat-6 being so responsive, answering to every jab of the throttle pedal with an eager howl from behind. The wide rear tyres easily translate the 429 bhp to the tarmac, allowing you to push the GT3 around corners whilst dancing around the very limit. This example features the carbon fibre seats which are bolted to the floor of the 997 GT3, providing a low seating position, perfect for the track where the GT3 is king. The 997 GT3 features Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard which is stiffer than the standard 997 911 range, but successfully smooths out road imperfections. As it accelerates towards the 8400 RPM redline, it reminds you of how raw the flat-6 is and how addictive and precise the manual gearbox is. The 997 GT3 is for the pure driving enthusiast.
