The Mercedes AMG GT 63 S presents a new level of practically to the sports car market. Whilst two-door sports cars are the common theme, Mercedes have produced an exceptionally performing sports car with high levels of daily usability. What the AMG GT 63 S essentially does is pack the performance of the AMG GT Coupe, in a more practical form. A four-wheel drive system sends the majority of the 630 bhp (for the ‘S’ model) to the rear wheels, with drive sent to the front for added traction. The twin-turbo V8 remains untamed and still as brutal as it needs to be, with crisp throttle response followed by a deep and aggressive engine tone. The torquey engine accelerates the AMG GT 63 S from 0-62mph in only 3.2 seconds. The Edition 1 was offered for a limited 12 month period from the launch of the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé in 2018. The Edition 1 offers a numerous number of features that would usually be cost options, as standard. These features include the AMG Aerodynamics Package, Premium Plus Package and the Burmester High-End 3D Sound System. Features exclusive to the Edition 1 include the Designo Graphite Grey Magno Matt paint and AMG Stripes to name a few extras. The Mercedes AMG GT 63 S has carved out a niche into the sports car market, one that has been widely accepted by buyers seeking a high performing sports car that also prioritises practicality.
