The Porsche 918 Spyder has re-written the hypercar rulebook, fully utilising modern hybrid technolgy. The 918 produces a staggering 887bhp and 944 lb ft of torque from its naturally aspirated 4.6 litre V8 engine in conjunction with two electric motors. The 918 accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 213mph. This has resulted in the fastest road-going Porsche ever made.
The two electric motors also allow the 918 to be eco-friendly when necessary. It uses energy from braking to charge and power the motors, achieving an electric range of up to 31km. The 918 also cleverly uses the rear wheels to generate power and supply the front electric motors in Race Hybrid mode, which take care of the torque vectoring.
Furthermore, this astonishing car can lap the famous Nürburgring race track in under 7 minutes. The 918 Spyder is a masterpiece of engineering that combines the best of hybrid technology with motorsport heritage. This makes the Porsche 918 Spyder a sought-after member of the Holy Trinity.
